Project Overview

1

Problem

Millions face preventable allergic reactions due to outdated prescriptions.

2

Solution

AI-powered molecular insights for real-time allergy risk detection.

3

Impact

Reduce adverse drug reactions by up to 75% and cut healthcare costs.

Allergic reactions to medications affect millions of patients each year, leading to preventable hospitalizations, serious complications, and increased healthcare costs worldwide. Healware allows you to select a patient’s confirmed allergen and then enter any drug or compound to test for potential cross-reactivity. At the heart of the system is RDKit, which extracts molecular structure features and aggregates data from ChEMBL and PubChem. For each reference allergen, we train a dedicated Random Forest model, providing real-time, explainable predictions of allergic cross-reactions. The platform is currently available as a web application, and—based on user demand—we plan to launch a mobile app. Our cross-allergy project was developed in collaboration with Ukrainian physicians, medical university professors, and medical students from Ukraine to ensure clinicians have access to the most up-to-date data and recommendations. By empowering care teams with precise, data-driven insights, Healware aims to dramatically reduce adverse drug events and improve patient safety around the globe.

“We’re not just imagining the future of medicine — we’re building it. Help us bring it to every patient, everywhere.”

Prediction result

Select an allergen, enter any other drug, and instantly check whether it is a potential cross-allergen. Get a clear result — cross-allergy or safe — along with a confidence level!

Data Analytics dashboard

Data & Analytics

You also receive a list of safe alternatives and an interactive 3D structure of the drug, generated from its SMILES representation. The 3D model is fully scalable and rotatable, allowing you to explore the molecule from every angle. Each atom — such as carbon, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and others — is highlighted in a distinct color for better visualization. Even more — you can modify any part of the molecule (such as CC1, N2C, CSC, etc.) and instantly see the updated 3D structure based on your custom SMILES input!

Data Sources

Healware pulls its comprehensive allergy-risk data from the world’s leading medical references:

  • DailyMed — the U.S. FDA’s official drug labeling database
  • National Health Service (NHS) — the UK’s primary healthcare guidance portal
  • PubMed — authoritative biomedical literature repository
  • European Medicines Agency (EMA) — EU regulatory insights on medicinal products
  • Electronic Medicines Compendium (EMC) — UK summaries of medicine information
  • Ministry of Health of Ukraine — official national guidelines and safety alerts

By continuously aggregating, normalizing and cross-referencing these sources, Healware delivers up-to-the-minute, clinically-actionable allergy insights directly within your EHR workflow.
